The following topic concerns the
physical properties of precious metals and their alloys.
In different vessel of iron, open at the bottom, I melted down silver
and gold. As soon as I take the vessel away from the direct heat the melted
mass solidifies inside. The precious metals develop unique shapes and colors in
reaction to the shock-like cooler outer conditions.
